Favorite Smoothie Recipes

Hello ladies! Today I will be sharing my favorite healthy smoothies that I made in the mornings, for my post-workouts, and even for a delicious snack during the day.

It is essential that we feed our bodies healthy foods so that we can work at the best of our ability and feel good throughout our days.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 10:31

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Here are my top five favorite smoothies to make!

First, I will like to add that to make these smoothies I use a Magic Bullet Nutribullet blender. You can pick one up at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Costco, or on the Nutribullet website…the one I bought is the original model which ranges from $70 dollars on the Nutribullet website. You can buy any model on the above listed stores for cheaper prices. A regular blender will do just fine too!

Morning Smoothie

This is a smoothie combination that I make only in the mornings as my entire breakfast or as a side.

Frozen pineapple chunks from Dole. (I use a handful)

A tad bit of Oceanspray diet cranberry juice

1 large Banana

1 cup of Silk Cashew Milk

1 Tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar

I blend all these ingredients together. Once they are all blended, I add ice and I am ready to enjoy my morning drink! This drink includes a lot of fruit, that include your daily serving of fruit and Vitamin C. I add a little bit of cranberry juice because of it flushes out and restores health of urinary tract. I always add a tablespoon of Apple cider vinegar because of the amazing benefits: Apple cider vinegar clears skin, flattens your stomach, and makes your hair shiny (to name a few). Cashew milk is a wonderful alternative to cow milk if you are on a dairy-free diet.

Post Workout Smoothie

3 scoops of Protein Powder (you can choose any protein powder that you like/any amount of scoops)

1 cup almond milk

1 Banana

2 tablespoons of peanut butter

After blending, add ice and you are ready to go! This is a smoothie I make as a post workout snack to make sure I restore my body. The ingredients include a lot of protein so I am feeding my muscles after working them out. The peanut butter and banana is included because I find that protein powders do not taste good, so with these two ingredients the drink tastes a lot better! Feel free to add whatever you like.

Snack Smoothie #1

1 cut up apple

1 banana

Handful of blueberries

2 clementines (sliced up)

A couple of frozen pineapple chunks

1 cup of cashew milk

¼ cup of diet cranberry juice

This is a fruity smoothie that you can have during the day. It is jam packed with good nutrients for your body.

Snack Smoothie #2

1 banana

1 handful of watermelon chunks

1 handful of cantaloupe chunks

1 handful of pineapple chunks

1 cup coconut milk

This is such a delicious smoothie! It is perfect to have during the summer.

I love blending up smoothies. All the ingredients I listed are fruits/milks that I like. Sometimes I switch out different ingredients, like add actual peanuts instead of peanut butter. The amazing thing about smoothies is that you can blend in a bunch of fruits and vegetables and get a surprising mix. Each smoothie can be your own, blending ingredients that YOU like! You can copy the recipes listed here, add or subtract some ingredients, and you will still get a tasty HEALTHY smoothie! I love to drink smoothies as a healthy dessert too.
